Glorify Allāh by Respecting the Rulers and the Scholars!

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Shaykh Sulaymān al-Ruḥaylī (حفظه الله) said: "Mankind will continue to be upon goodness as long as they revere the rulers and the scholars. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'Glorifying Allāh involves respecting the aged Muslim, the just ruler, and the one who never forgets the Qurʾān after memorising it and is moderate when pronouncing its letters.' [Reported by Abū Dāwūd, and Shaykh al-Albānī authenticated it.] Therefore, respecting the rulers is legislated as there are numerous Aḥādīth to support this. Consequently, revering them is from the foundations of Ahl-Sunnah wa-al-Jamā‘ah."

Ḥasan al-Ṣumālī: The Speakers Promoted by Khālid ibn al-Walīd Mosque

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

During a TROID Seminar in 2002 entitled We Accompany the Sunnah Wherever it Goes, the noble brother and student of  Imām Muqbil ibn Hādī al-WādiʿīAbū ʿAbdullāh Ḥasan al-Ṣumālī  answers a question about Khālid ibn al-Walīd masjid and the speakers they promote. The noble speaker explains how they promote Sharīf ʿAbdi Nūr (refuted by Shaykh Muqbil), Ṣāliḥ al-Munajjid (defender of Sayyid Qutb, Takfīrī, Khārijī figurehead, refuted by Shaykh Rabīʿ ibn Hādī and others), also, how the Imām (Bashir), "if you were to listen to his tapes you would think he is someone at war with the manhaj of the Salaf...not someone who is a person of ʿilm". He also explains how KBW is a masjid that propped up the speakers of Jamāʿah al-Ittihād (a political party in Ṣumālīa, built upon the principles of Sayyid Qutb and the Muslim Brotherhood, that spread discord and seperation, members of al-Shabāb evolved out of this group that was more prominent in the 80s and 90s).  Abū ʿAbdullāh Ḥasan al-Ṣumālī makes mention of the recordings made between TROID and the scholars about Bashīr and KBW, for the people to take heed of these admonisions and to move on with the daʿwah. The speaker emphasises, "there are no Scholars in the West" and explains why they (Bashīr et al.) put down the scholars and put themselves up, calling themselves "shaykhs" on their websites and flyers, why?, "to keep your ignorant, to keep you in darkness". The speaker concludes by imploring those confused to learn the books of tawḥīd, learn the books of sunnah, be with righteous companions who traverse the same path (a key point as it is often old friends and allegiances that stops people from leaving ḥizbiyyah). Ḥasan al-Ṣumālī (a Ṣumālī himself) mentions that many people will refuse to leave the ḥizbiyyah of KBW because "its my people," this being the trap of prefering nationalism over the truth.

Having a Sound Creed Is the Foundation of the Religion

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Shaykh ‘Ubayd al-Jābirī (حفظه الله) said:
Having a sound creed is the foundation and the basis of the religion; therefore, whosoever takes creed lightly and is negligent about it is either:
[1] An ignorant man who does not know how to give daʿwah, so he follows everyone
[2] A person of desires and innovation who is evil and misguided

Shaykh Rabīʿ: "Aḥmad Bazmūl is an ʿĀlim...Had he not Refuted ʿAlī al-Ḥalabī I Would Have

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

On the authority of Aḥmad az-Zahraanee (may Allāh preserve him and bless him), Shaykh Rabīʿ ibn Hādī al-Madkhalī (may Allāh preserve him and bless him) said, when asked about Aḥmad Bāzmūl in comparison to ʿAlī al-Ḥalabī:

  أحمد بازمول عالِمٌ دَرَسَ الحديثَ والعقيدةَ والفقهَ على علماء ومؤصِّلُ تأصيلٍ علميٍّ ودكتور في الجامعة ، ولو لَمْ يَرُدَّ على عليٍّ الحلبيِّ لَرَدَدْتُ أنا عليه لكنَّه كَفَانِي

"...Aḥmad Bāzmūl is an ʿĀlim who studied Ḥadīth, ʿAqīdah, and Fiqh under the scholars, well-grounded in knowledge, a doctor in the university.  Had he not refuted ʿAlī al-Ḥalabī, I would have done so myself.  However, he has sufficed me..."

This is in light of claims that Shaykh Aḥmad Bāzmūl has preceded the scholars with his open refutations and warnings against ʿAlī al-Ḥalabī.
