Benefit: Congregational Duʿāʾ In-Between the Tarāwīḥ Prayers

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Congregational supplications and sending peace and blessings upon the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) in congregation at the end of the obligatory or voluntary prayers or even in between the tarāwīḥ prayers is an newly invented innovation. It has been confirmed from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalahi wa-sallam) that he said:

Whosoever introduces into this affair of ours (i.e Islām) that which is not from it, then it is rejected.

Benefit: Saying Bismillāh

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Question: Some people have become accustomed to saying "bismillāh" whenever they are about to engage in any regular affair of theirs. Is there an basis for this or is it a refutable act?

Answer:
Mentioning the name of Allāh—the Exalted and the Sublime—and saying "bismillāh" is considered to be from fortifying oneself with the remembrance of Allāh. It is legislated [to mention the name of Allāh] except in cases where one is entering places for relieving oneself, in this case one must not mention Allāh until he exits this place, although one may still remember Allāh in his heart but not with his tongue.

Benefit: The Sunnah of Tasbīḥ

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Shaykh Muḥammad Nāṣir al-Dīn al-Albānī: Whoever makes tasbīḥ [counting subḥan Allāh as the prophet ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam did with his fingers] with his left hand has opposed [the sunnah]. Whoever makes tasbīḥ with both of his hands like many of the people do, then he has mixed between a correct action and an incorrect action; perhaps Allāh will pardon him. Lastly, whoever specifies his tasbīḥ with only his right hand has indeed been guided and achieved the sunnah of al-Muṣṭafá (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam).

Benefit: What Would You Like Your Last Words to be, "Lā Ilāha Ill-Allāh" or Lyrics from a Song?

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Our beloved brother Dāwūd Adīb, whilst discussing the importance of having one's tongue moist with the dhikr of Allāh before death over takes you, mentions two poignant stories. The first of the two; an American that lived a life of crime, but in his last moments of his life, devoted himself to Allāh sincerly, and made his final words the shahādah. The second is a story of a group of friends who's final moments were spent in the remembers of other than Allāh, rather in the dhikr of music.

We ask Allāh to make our ends one that is pleasing to Him.
