Benefit: Again? I Can't Take All This Fitnah!!

  Ustādh Abū Ḥākīm touches on the reality that most fitan (trials) are not realised by the people until the tail-end of their exposure. What appears to be a sudden occurrence is actually something that was brewing for some time, something that the scholars may have been addressing behind close doors. Secondly, many fall into emotional judgements, "not again", "I can't take this anymore" or other analysis devoid of knowledge or patience. The speaker explains that fitnah (trials) will come, wave upon wave, and to seek a utopian existence where no trials occur is to misunderstand the principles of the Salafī methodology, the qawāʿid (principles) are not rooted.  Lastly, he clarifies the need for knowledge, patience and forbearance in times of fitnah, explaining the characteristics of the patient astute Salafī versus the mustʿajil (hasty) reckless people who contain the lethal combination of ignorance and arrogance, taking to their blogs and other ranting platforms, increasing themselves in ignorance and harming others.

Further Debunking Some Doubts and Diversionary Tactics of the Muṣaʿfiqah  
—The Visit of Tunisian Salafis to Shaykh Rabīʿ ibn Hādī al-Madkhalī 19/08/1439 AH—


الحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله وعلى آله وصحبه ومن اتبع هداه، أما بعد

In implementation of the saying of Allāh, the Most High: And as for the blessing of your Lord, proclaim it. [Sūrah al-Ḍūhā, 93:11]

Allāh has granted me the opportunity to visit the Imām, al-Muḥaddith, Rabīʿ al-Sunnah, Rabīʿ ibn Hādī ibn ʿUmayr al-Madkhalī — may Allāh preserve him — at his house in the city of the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) on the night of Sunday the ninteenth of Shaʿbān, in the year one thousand four hundred and thirty-nine after the migration of al-Muṣṭafá (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) [2018/05/19]. I was accompanied by my brothers from Tunisia.

I was very delighted at the way the shaykh and his son received and welcomed us. Their doors are open wide for visitation and the claim that it is closed — by those who label others ṣaʿāfiqah — is a blazing lie.

I found him (Imām Rabīʿ) in a safe and healthy state — may Allāh preserve him upon that — holding his book, reading and researching. I sought permission to present some questions to him and he granted us permission. We were enlightened by his answers so much so that I wished to share them and perhaps Allāh will benefit others by way of it.

Question #1:

The statement that, “Shaykh Muḥammad (ibn Hādī) has evidences with him for his refutation against the students — who were labelled ṣaʿāfiqah — which Shaykh Rabīʿ has not yet been informed about, so do not be hasty against Shaykh Muḥammad” has become widespread between our brothers.

Shaykh Rabīʿ: Woe, woe, woe to them!

Right. There are evidences which I have not seen yet. Nor have the people seen them and even Muḥammad ibn Hādī has not seen them yet. This is because it does not exist at all.

The Shaykh then laughed, may Allāh preserve him upon his happiness.

Question #2:

'O Shaykh, on some Facebook pages, they have now started to speak ill of Shaykh ʿUbayd al-Jābirī and Shaykh ʿAbdullāh al-Bukhārī, may Allāh preserve them.

Shaykh Rabīʿ: Have they become people of innovation?! They (Shaykh ʿUbayd and Shaykh ʿAbdullāh) are from the heads of Daʿwah Salafiyyah, bārak Allāhu fīkum.

The shaykh, upon hearing this news, became upset.

Benefit: The People of Fitnah are Only Industrious in Times of Fitnah

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

  A question posed to Ustādh ʿAbdu-ilāh Laḥmāmī concerning the phenomenon of people raising their heads (and voices) during times of fitnah.

The lecturer asks: Where were you before? Where are you works (masjid, websites, publications, seminars, pamphlets etc.), your efforts to spread and defend the Sunnah? Why is it you are only busy when seeking to destroy, never active seeking to build (the daʿwah)?

He encourages the brothers to reflect on the efforts in the UK, so much activity and progress, khayr upon khayr. Don't be from those who only cause hatred and turmoil. People can say what they want to say, however the reality  is clear in the progress (of the daʿwah) around the English speaking world. The criticisms and slander do not impede our communities. On the day of judgement, we will meet the slanderers, in shāʾ Allāh, it will be good for us. You (fatān) carry on, and we will carry on in shāʾ Allāh, without any desire for praise or thanks from the people.

The Destructiveness of Self-Amazement

An open lecture in Toronto (2018/04/20) by Ustādh ʿAbdu-ilāh Laḥmāmī explaining the delusion of self-amazement, a disease omnipresent amongst some of the youth today. An advice to those who seek rank and position, who suffer from the ailment of entitlement. This disease is manifested by those who seek to put themselves up, whilst they put others down. The basis of this ailment is kibr (pride).

Our comments on this incendiary upstart:

  1. This ignorant youth speaks in the arena of the scholars about public matters affecting the Muslims, without insight or wisdom.

  2. As displayed above, Abū Khadījah narrated that Shaykh Rabīʿ has read the documents presented against known Salafī students of knowledge and shaykhs, and stated there is no proof against these Salafi callers, Shaykh ʿUbayd has said the same.

  3. This youth claims that “every last one of them heard all of his evidences.” Who is “them”? The scholars? Their students? And he believes that there is evidence for the “falsehood and lies” of the Salafī shaykhs and students of knowledge (who he refers to as Ṣaʿāfiqah), that “every last one of them heard”! This in spite of the fact that Shaykh Rabīʿ and Shaykh ʿUbayd have clearly stated, there is no evidence or proof presented against these shaykhs and students of knowledge that warrants their tabdīʿ (declaring them innovators) and taḍlīl (declaring them misguided). So, O insolent one, who speaks with boldness in front of the Imām of Sunnah and Ḥadīth (Shaykh Rabīʿ), bring those evidences that necessitate “proof” and necessitate warning, and necessitate your insistence of using the term “Ṣaʿāfiqah” upon Ahl al-Sunnah, as if there is a sect that has split off from Ahl al-Sunnah called Ṣaʿāfiqah! Or does he believe there is a sect within Ahl al-Sunnah with that title? If it is claimed that "I am merely following the saying of one scholar (i.e. Shaykh Muḥammad ibn Hādī)", then, this miskīn is nothing more than a blind-follower who calls others to blindly follow. If he knows the proofs “that every last one of them” heard, then present them. Otherwise, he should recant and make tawbah for his fanaticism, his oppression against other Salafis and his labelling of them as a sect (i.e. Ṣaʿāfiqah).

  4. This miskīn may not know that Shaykh Rabīʿ is an Imām in Ḥadīth and the arena of Jarḥ wa-al-Taʿdīl. He is senior in knowledge and rank to Shaykh Muḥammad ibn Hādī — a fact that is not denied by any of the scholars, and he is 40 years or so older than Shaykh Muḥammad ibn Hādī and is considered as his elder teacher. And it is known from the words of the Prophet (ṣallāllāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) that he said: “The blessings are with your elders” (Authenticated by al-Albānī in al-Ṣaḥīḥah). As for an ʿĀlim like Shaykh Muḥammad ibn Hādī, then he can be mistaken. An ‘Ālim can be right and also be wrong in his speech, and the other more senior ʿUlamāʾ have highlighted his error. As for this rabble-rousing youngster, he has no right to comment to begin with! So he carries stories without proof, blindly following, throwing Ahl al-Sunnah into a sect known to you as the ṣaʿāfiqah, and tweets that to the world, calling others to follow that?! And all this after knowing the statements of the senior scholars such as Shaykh Rabīʿ and Shaykh ʿUbayd, both of whom have nullified the usage of this term and have rejected the attacks upon the Salafī students of knowledge and shaykhs due to the absence of proof showing their bidʿah or opposition to the Usūl. This youngster has the audacity to speak in the face of that!

  5. So we say to this youth, Ilyas Aidarus: bring your proof for throwing a body of Ahl al-Sunnah into a newly invented sect and show us this evidence that “every last one” of us (including Shaykh Rabīʿ, Shaykh ʿUbayd and Shaykh ʿAbdullāh al-Bukhārī) have heard!! Otherwise, we await your recantation and tawbah from these evil assertions against Ahl al-Sunnah and their senior scholars.

Bismillāh al-ḥamdulillāh wa ṣalātu wa-al-salām ʿalá rasūlillāh

This is an invitation to the followers of ʿAbd al-Raḥman al-ʿUmaysan in the US and Canada to repent for their deception and their attempts to divert away from the fact that they were requested to provide evidences for their labelling of others with "ṣaʿāfiqah".  Since they are unable to do this, they are using diversionary tactics to attack, malign and undermine those who have not blindly followed them in this matter. 

Recently, they made a fatal error in attributing lies to TROID. In their rush to call us liars, in their haste to spread confusion on the internet, their venomous treacherous nature is exposed. For we do indeed have the very recording, a clear proof, that we did indeed read our bayān, aligning with the elder scholars, to Shaykh Ḥasan. So they took to the anonymity of troll accounts to spread their filth (as per usual - images below) falsely and slanderously accusing the brothers at TROID of being liars. So we wonder now if they will spread this audio just as fast? Will they make tawbah for clearly erring and calling us liars? It is now evident to all that we did indeed read the bayān to Shaykh Ḥasan and he approved of our alignment with the Scholars, with his name mentioned on the document. The upright honest ones would have sought to verify claims. However, they are obviously neither honest nor upright. 

So, they recently spread an audio in which Shaykh Ḥasan ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb al-Banná advised to keep out of the affair that is currently taking place with respect to Shaykh Muḥammad ibn Hādī.

As for their specific accusation of lying upon Shaykh Ḥasan, then Munīb Aden (of TROID) read out the bayān issued twice. Firstly on Mar. 29th 2018, and knowing that these people were going to play games, It was read out to him a second time, completely, on Apr. 8th 2018, and this was recorded wa al-ḥamdulillāh.

So al-ḥamdulillāh, the entire bayān was read to the Shaykh twice. 

This was a futile, desperate attempt by these troublemakers, and it is one in a long series of attempts to undermine the status and statements of the major scholars in this fitnah. Their aim is confusion and division.

Munīb al-Ṣumālī: Yes, we have, Shaykh Rabīʿ and Shaykh ʿUbayd have both seen it, al-ḥamdulilāh.
