A Great Principle

  Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymīyyah

Establishing clear principles defining the difference between the worship of those with īmān and the worship of those with nifāq (hypocrisy).

Allāh Is Greater

The need for the heart to be pure and clean is the only way to good deeds and success whereas the corruption of the heart leads to sin and the hellfire.

Answer Allāh and His Messenger When He Calls You to What Will Give You Life

  Abū Ḥafsah Kāshiff Khān

A khuṭbah (2015/03/27) given at Masjid al-Furqān (TROID) by our noble brother, Kāshiff Khān,  incuring the audience to be obedient to Allāh and his Messenger (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhī wa-sallam), a sign of īmān in the heart. The sermon was part of the Points of Benefit from Sharḥ al-Sunnah, the Outstanding Book of Imām al-Barbahārī seminar.

Attaining Happiness - Using Time Wisely

  Shaykh ʿAbd Allāh al-Bukhārī

An important advice about preserving time and not wasting it. How does a person waste one's heart? How does one waste one's time? It is as Ibn al-Qayyim said: "Prefering the dunyā over the hereafter and busying oneself with too many wants and hopes"

Shaykh Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Waḥhāb al-Aqīl explains the Ḥadīth of the Messenger (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam): "Whoever Allāh wants good for, He gives him understanding of the dīn. This Ḥadīth is so important that some of the scholars have written works based upon it. Shaykh Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Waḥhāb al-Aqīl is one of the well-known scholars of Medīnah. Benefit: Allāh Looks Not to Your Bodies Nor to Your Faces; Rather He Looks to Your Hearts

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

From Abū Hurayrah ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Sakhr, may Allāh be pleased with him, who said: The Messenger of Allāh, may Allāh raise his rank and grant him peace, said: «Indeed, Allāh looks not to your bodies, nor to your faces; rather He looks to your hearts [and deeds].1»

Shaykh al-ʿUthaymīn comments:2

Allāh, the Perfect and Most High, does not look to the slaves and their bodies, and whether they are large or small in stature, nor whether they stand in good health or illness. He does not look to their faces, and whether or not they are beautiful or hideous. All of these affairs are of [absolutely] no significance to Allāh. Similarly, He does not look towards their lineage nor ancestry, and whether or not they are of nobility or ignobility, nor does He look towards their wealth. He does not look towards any of these affairs at all.

There lies no connection between Allāh and His creation except through at-taqwá (righteousness). Whomever possesses more taqwá of Allāh, is nearer to Him, and thus most honorable with Him, so do not take pride in your wealth, nor in your beauty, nor in your body, nor in your children, nor in your palaces, nor in your cars, nor in any worldly matter. Indeed, if Allāh granted you success in attaining al-taqwá, it is from the His Grace upon you, so praise Allāh.

Benefit: True "Human Rights" Are Legislated by Allāh, the All-Knowing

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

The topic of "Human Rights" is often championed in the speech of democrats. However, what are true human rights? Has not the Lord of the world decreed justices and rights for all of his creation? Do Muslims need to incorporate new, man-made concepts and laws into their belief system? Has not the religion and all its rights been laid out clearly for us by the All-Knowing?

Shaykh Ṣāliḥ ibn Sa`d al-Suḥaymī (hafiẓahullāh) states:

When Islām ruled the world, and when the strength and power were with the Muslims, and when Islām was in the state of superiority hundreds of years or so ago, then the world was led with justice, and the world was led with goodness, and the world was led with safety, security, and objectivity, all of those matters that the people call today "human rights," Islām gathered them, Islām put them in the proper place, Islām reserved them and preserved them without ifraat or tafreet - meaning, without exaggeration in either direction - without exaggeration in extremeness or in shortness.

As Allāh says in [the] Qurʾān:

"Thus We have made you [true Muslims - real believers of Islamic Monotheism, true followers of Prophet Muḥammad (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhī wa-sallam) and his Sunnah (legal ways)], a Wasat (just) (and the best) nation, that you be witnesses over mankind and the Messenger (Muḥammad ṣallallāhu ʿalayhī wa-sallam) be a witness over you" [al-Baqarah 2:143].

And the Prophet (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhī wa-sallam) stated: "Give glad tidings and make things easy for the people, and do not make things hard."

And the Prophet (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhī wa-sallam) said: "This dīn (religion) is easy, and no one goes to extremes in it except that it overcomes him."

So he (sallʿaláhu ʿalayhī wa-sallam) said: "Seek help by doing actions of good deeds in the morning and evening, and something at night.1"

So were the Muslims to put into practice this dīn, were they to actually to act upon its dictates, were they to follow Qurʾān and Sunnah without any extremeness or without any type of slacking or lacking, then they would be upon that which is sound, and they could guide everyone else amongst the creation.
