Benefit: A Husband Assisting His Wife with Household Chores Doesn’t Diminish or Negate His Masculinity

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Shaykh Muḥammad ibn ʿUmar Bāzmūl (حفظه الله) stated:

A man assisting his wife in the house doesn’t diminish or negate his masculinity, nor does it hinder his protection and maintenance of her.

Imām al-Bukhārī reported that al-Aswad said: "I asked ʿĀishah (رضي الله عنها): 'What did the Prophet (ﷺ) use to do inside his house?’ She answered: 'He use to keep himself busy serving the members of his family, and when it was time for the prayer, he would leave."

'Serving the members of his family’ meaning, assisting them in the different tasks that were binding upon them.

Translator's note:

There has come in some narrations a description of some of the things that he (ﷺ) would do in the house. ʿUrwah said: "I said to ʿĀishah (رضي الله عنها): 'O Mother of the Believers! What did the Prophet (ﷺ) use to do when he was with you?' She said: 'He would do what any of you would do when serving the members of your family. He would mend his sandals, sew his thowb, and patch his bucket."[Reported by Ibn Ḥibbān, and authenticated by Shaykh al-Albānī.]

Benefit: Benefiting From Books of Those Who Were upon the Path Then Deviated?

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Shaykh Muḥammad ibn ʿUmar Bāzmūl was asked:1

[Q]: May Allāh be good to you Shaykhanā. If I had some books, treatises, and cassettes authored by individuals who were once upon the correct path then deviated, and scholars, such as al-Shaykh Rabīʿ, al-Shaykh al-Fawzān, and al-Shaykh ʿUbayd, etc.—may Allāh preserve them all—warned against them, can I still benefit from the material? Bearing in mind that I had acquired these things before the authors opposed the correct path. May Allāh reward you with good. Perhaps I can cite as an example [both] Ibrāhīm ar-Ruḥaylī and Yaḥyá al-Ḥajūrī.

[A]: Safety is a blessing. Once they have been warned against, the matter entails that one maintains his distance from them, and steer clear of them so that he does not become amazed with them and their ways, causing him to keep away from the path of the Sunnah. Remember that whosoever abandons a thing for Allāh, He will compensate him with that which is better. So, place them aside, and mark with your pen that they are authored by people of innovation so that anyone who finds them in your library amid your books will not be misled by them. Further, remember that the reason Abī Dharr al-Harawī followed al-Ashʿarī is because he witnessed his Shaykh, al-Dāraqutnī, convey his salāms to al-Bāqillānī and hold him in high regard.

Benefit: Religion Is the Most Important Affair

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Shaykh Muḥammad ibn ʿUmar Bāzmūl (حفظه الله) stated: “O Muslim! Even though the worldly affairs may seem significant, they are not. Only Allāh’s religion is truly significant.”

Benefit: Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah on Reading the Books of the Innovators

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Our brother Mūsá Richardson, whilst reading through the book entitled, "Methods the People of Falsehood Use to Establish Their Baatil - Exposed" by Shaykh Muḥammad ibn ʿUmar Bazmūl, may Allāh preserve him, mentioned a very important issue concerning reading the books of the innovators.  Many of us have heard the erroneous statement, "take the good and leave the bad", which in essence does not make any sense at all in this situation. This act of taking the good and leaving the bad would require a person, in advance, to have knowledge of the good and the bad to be able to filter out what would harm him.  If he had this ability he wouldn't need this source at all in the first place.

Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymīyyah, may Allāh have mercy on him, commented on one of the most famous explanations of the Qurʾān from the Muʿtazilah entitled, "al-Kashaaf". This tafsīr has been read by many, both in the past and the present who fell for the high level of eloquence and literature in this book. Similarly, today we find many reading and quoting from the deviant Sayyid Qutb and his misguided tafsīr, "In the Shade of the Qurʾān" (Fī Zilal al-Qurʾān).  Again, people are not basing this on its concurrence to the sunnah, but rather they are attached to the eloquence exhibited by the author.

Benefit: Shaykh Rabīʿ on Shaykh Aḥmad Bazmūl's Warning Against ʿAlī Ḥasan al-Ḥalabī's New Book

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

The Noble Scholar, Shaykh Rabīʿ Ibn Hādī al-Madkhalī comments on Shaykh Aḥmad Ibn ʿUmar Bazmūl's  warning against ʿAlī Ḥasan al-Ḥalabī's new book 'Manhajus-Salafīs-Ṣāliḥ fī Tarjeehil-Masaalih wa Tatweehil-Mafaasid wal-Qabaa`ih fī Usūlin-Naqd wal-Jarḥ wan-Nasaa`ih' (The Methodology of the Salaf al-Ṣāliḥ in Weighing the Benefits and Tossing Away the Harms and Evils in Principles of Criticism and Disparagement and Advice)

Shaykh Aḥmad Bāzmūl's Warning Against the New Book of ʿAlī Ḥasan al-Ḥalabī: http://www.salafitalk.net/st/viewmessages.cfm?Forum=9&Topic=7781

Shaykh Rabīʿ on Shaykh Aḥmad Bazmūl's Warning Against ʿAlī Ḥasan al-Ḥalabī's New Book (below):

All praises be to Allāh, and peace and blessings of Allāh be upon the Messenger of Allāh, and upon his family, his companions and those who have aided him.

To Proceed:

Glad tidings to all the Salafīs everywhere upon the happy news, which indeed is the praise of our Shaykh, the flag-bearer of Jarh and Ta'deel (The science of criticizing and praising), Rabīʿ bin Hādī al-Madkhalī, may Allāh preserve him (from all harm), for the book "A Warning to the Prudent Ones from the Flimsiness of the reasoning of ʿAlī al-Ḥalabī, the Miskīn" which has been written by Shaykh Abī ʿAbd al-Raḥmān Sa'ad bin Fathee bin Saʿīd az-Za'taree.

So, I asked (Rabīʿ bin Hādī al-Madkhalī), may Allāh preserve him, his opinion about the book?

So he (Rabīʿ bin Hādī al-Madkhalī ), may Allāh preserve him, said:

"I have read the book in its entirety, and the writer has done very well. And al-Ḥalabī has been subdued over (his explanation) of many of different issues, and has been made to face the correct stance. And it is indeed a strong knowledge-based refutation, maa shaa Allāh ta'aʿalá, may Allāh reward the writer the best of rewards."

I have written this on: 15/01/1430AH (12/01/2009)

All praises be to Allāh, Lord of the Worlds. And may the Peace and Blessings of Allāh be upon the Leader of the First and the Last (Prophet Muḥammad, ṣallallāhu ʿalayhī wa sʿalám)

From the one who loves you for the sake of Allāh:

Benefit: The Salafī Is Not Infallible

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Shaykh Muḥammad ibn ʿUmar Bāzmūl (حفظه الله) stated: “A man being described as a Salafī does not mean that he is free from errors, shortcomings, or inconsistencies, for all of the children of Ādam commit sins. We say: ‘He is salafī,’ we do not say: ‘He is infallible.’”

Benefit: The Vileness of the Imāmīyyah Shīʿah

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Shaykh Muḥammad ibn ʿUmar Bāzmūl (حفظه الله) said: “Do you know that the Imāmīyyah Shīʿah celebrate the 9th day of Rabīʿ al-Awwal because it is the day that ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb (رضي الله عنه) was killed at the hands of Abū Luʾluʾah al-Majūsī whom they have nicknamed Bābā Shujāʿ and described as being the brave believer?! Therefore, they celebrate this day and make it a day of ʿEīd.”

Benefit: Why All Deviant Groups Show Enmity Towards the Salafīs

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Shaykh Muḥammad ibn ʿUmar Bāzmūl (حفظه الله) was asked: “Why do all the [deviant] groups show enmity towards the Salafīs?”

The Shaykh (حفظه الله) stated: "This is because their views and opinions are contradictory to Salafīyyah. Salafīyyah not only clarifies their contradictions but also deems them to be innovators. This is what is meant [by the Prophet (ﷺ) when he said:] 'All of them [i.e the groups] are in the Fire, except one.' It was said: 'Which group, O Messenger of Allāh?' He (ﷺ) said: 'That which I and my Companions are upon.' He (ﷺ) also said in another narration: 'The Jamā‘ah.'"

Warning from Misguidance, Innovation and Their People Is Not Completed Except by Differentiating, Classifying and Identifying the Various Groups, Naming and Labelling Them, and Describing Them with Their Respective Characteristics

  Shaykh Muḥammad ibn ʿUmar Bazmūl

An important article for those who claim that refuting falsehood and it's callers is harmful and destructive. They claim that refuting the Ḥizbiyūn is division, lacking mercy and foresight. In reality, this is a scheme to protect the callers to innovation and to deviate the heart of the believer. Dr. Muḥammad ibn ʿUmar Bazmūl explains this important issue.
