Events on the Day of Judgement

  al-ʿAllāmah Shaykh ʿUbayd al-Jābirī

There are several events that will occur on the Day of Judgement, the Day when the people will be gathered awaiting their fates. They will be covered in sweat, all the way up to their throats because of their fear of what awaits them. Each person will be concerned about his own self, not his children, his spouse, his brother, his sister, or his parents. What a terrible day that will be! Allāh has promised intercession only for those who say "La ilāha ill-Allāh." Shaykh ʿUbayd elucidates. Translated by Abū Ḥakīm Bilāl Davis. (From the 2012 Dawrah, hosted by the brothers at Salafī Publications.)

Having a Sound Creed Is the Foundation of the Religion

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Shaykh ‘Ubayd al-Jābirī (حفظه الله) said:
Having a sound creed is the foundation and the basis of the religion; therefore, whosoever takes creed lightly and is negligent about it is either:
[1] An ignorant man who does not know how to give daʿwah, so he follows everyone
[2] A person of desires and innovation who is evil and misguided

How to Deal with the People

Al-ʿAllāmah Shaykh ʿUbayd al-Jābirī (hafiẓahullāh taʿāla), in this valuable lecture, explains the way in which individuals should interact and behave with each other. The shaykh brings many verses from the Qurʾān and narrations from the Sunnah to emphasise the importance of having good dealings. The shaykh discussed the noble and honourable position of those who carry and spread knowledge. He explains verses from the Qurʾān and narrations from the Sunnah to show the great status of legislative knowledge in the religion. Translated succinctly by our brother Abū ʿUways ʿAbdullāh Aḥmad ʿAlī (raḥimahullāh), may Allāh grant him a great reward.

Preserving the Unity and Avoiding the Trouble-Makers

  Shaykh ʿUbayd ibn ʿAbdullāh al-Jābirī

Advice to the Salafīs of America concerning unity (June 2014). In a time where the daʿwah in America is stronger than ever, when unity and cooperation is better than before, some have taken to criticise and breakdown this progress and turn against the duʿāt. The noble Shaykh emphasises the need to support one another and work together and to avoid troublemakers.

Questions Answered on Jamāʿat al-Tablīgh

  al-ʿAllāmah ʿUbayd ibn ʿAbdullāh al-Jābirī

A grand expose of the extremely partisan, neo-ṣūfī group known as ‘Jamāʿat al-Tablīgh’. The noble Shaykh, ʿUbayd al-Jābirī answers several questions about the Indian origin group, their ʿaqīdah, manhaj, roots and goals. The answers illustrate the extremely ḥizbī nature of this group, their abomination of ‘al-daʿwah ill-Allāh’, destruction of the term ‘fī-sabīl Allāh’, corruption of the concept of tawḥīd, abandonment of the manhaj al-anbiyāʾ, deep roots in Ṣūfiyyah and foolish content with being attached to the party, devoid of seeking knowledge.

Questions from the West

  Shaykh ʿUbayd ibn ʿAbdullāh al-Jābirī

Two Q&A sessions conducted with one of the scholars of al-Madīnah, Shaykh ʿUbayd al-Jābirī. The sessions were conducted on the 7th and 14th of February 2004 and the questions were compiled from across the Western World. A beneficial sitting covering many comprehensive and sometimes complicated issues.

Tawḥīd and Its Importance

  Shaykh ʿUbayd al-Jābirī

Tawḥīd is the foundation of the religion and the principle upon which the religion is built so it is of utmost importance that one understands it and adheres to it, and one is able to refute the doubts of the groups that claim that the word 'tawḥīd' was never mentioned in the texts. (This phone lecture was translated by Ḥasan al-Ṣumālī).
