Advice and General Questions Answered
A general advice to the Salafīs of Toronto (June, 03) overviewing the roles and responsibilities of Ahl al-Sunnah living in this land. The noble Shaykh and Scholar of al-Madīnah quotes numerous āyāt and aḥādīth detailing these issues. After this general advice, the ʿAllāmah invited the community to pose their questions.
A general advice to the Salafīs of Toronto (June, 03) over-viewing the roles and responsibilities of the ahl al-sunnah living in this land. The noble shaykh and scholar of al-madīnah quotes numerous āyāt and aḥādīth detailing these issues. After this general advice, the 'Allāmah invited the community to pose their questions, from them:
[Q1]: O Shaykh, we do not have a Salafī masjid in Toronto, the Salafī brothers have gathered to purchase a masjid soon, in shāʾ Allāh, what is your advice to those who will be responsible for the masjid.
[Q2]: Is it permissible to call the Muslim youth to sports such as football, and then after playing sports, to call them to salafīyyah?
[Q3]: There is a man here in Toronto and he has stated that he has called you and he asked you, "Is it permissible for me to teach in the masājid of ḥizbiyyah if they do not put any conditions upon me" (claiming that the shaykh agrees with the permissibility of this). Is this your statement or your position?
[Q4]: How should one interact with the atheists (and those beyond the classification of Ahl al-Kitāb) in terms of their rights, contracts and giving daʿwah to them?
[Q5]: Is it permissible for a person to reside in Saudi al-ʿArabīa without an iqāmah (residency permit)?
[Q6]: Is is correct to make a second jamāʿah if the Imām has completed the ṣalāt, those who differ both seem to bring Ibn Ma'sood as a proof?
[Q7]: Is it permissible for a brother to drive a group of sisters to or from their homes, what if the person is not maḥram to the sister?
[Q8]: The ṣalāt which is done without the iqāmah al-ṣalāt (call to prayer) accidentally, is it valid?
