Policy of using Kunyahs on the Forums was created by troid.ca admin
From the terms/conditions you have agreed to when signing up on troid.ca is that you have entered your real first and last name, a kunyah can be entered as your user name - on our forum, it has been set up to show first/last name. This is to prevent people posting with screen names. We understand that some people may not want to post on the internet with their real names, this is their decision, however this is our policy, accounts created with

first name: Umm
last name: Muslim

for example, will be deleted - we remind you that in agreeing to the terms/conditions you have agreed to use your first/last name!

Barakallaahu feekum,

from the terms/conditions agreed to on sign up:

You have the ability, as you register, to choose your username. We insist that you keep your real name in addition to your (kunyah) nickname.

With this user account you are about to register, you agree to never give your password out to another person except an administrator, for your protection and for validity reasons. You also agree to NEVER use another person's account for any reason. We also HIGHLY recommend you use a complex and unique password for your account, to prevent account theft. After you register and login to this forum, you will be able to fill out a detailed profile. It is your responsibility to present clean and accurate information. Any information the forum owner or staff determines to be inaccurate or vulgar in nature will be removed, with or without prior notice. Appropriate sanctions may be applicable. Please note that with each post, your IP address is recorded, in the event that you need to be banned from this forum or your ISP contacted. This will only happen in the event of a major violation of this agreement. Also note that the software places a cookie, a text file containing bits of information (such as your username and password), in your browser's cache. This is ONLY used to keep you logged in/out. The software does not collect or send any other form of information to your computer.

We have relaxed our forum policy slightly, you may name use a kunyah in the

FIRST NAME field

as for the LAST NAME, it must be your legal last name. We are making this compromise as we understand brothers/sisters may not like their legal name online. However, to maintain our ability to identify the speech of one another, at least one portion will be positively identifiable.

We have taken this approach (real last name) to avoid needing references and verifications to subscribe to the forum.
