'The Evils of Ikhwaanul Muslimun Upon Islam'
A lesson delivered Shaykh Muhammad al- Anjari this evening via Annahj Radio and translated by Nabil Chogle via Twitter. I merely collected the tweets and edited any minor spelling errors for easier reading.
This heavenly affair for every person who raises the Banner of the Truth, is to command the good and forbid evil; from commanding the good is to call to the Sunnah, and from warning from evil and to warn from distortion in the religion.
Ahl al-Sunnah call to this, raising the banner of the Sunnah and killing off all of bid’ah; and from those who have distorted the religion of Islam, and from those who have brought evils to the religion are the Jamaa’at Ul Ikhwaan.
What did Ibn ‘Abbās say to those who didn't purify themselves from the water of the ocean?
Those who don't purify from the ocean water? ‘May Allaah not purify them!’ So it is the likes of Ikhwaan Ul Muslimeen, who do not follow the Sunnah of Muhammad (sallallahu ‘alayhi wassallam).
So a brief history of this evil Group known as Ikhwaan ul Muslimeen; its founder is Ḥasan Al Banna,
and they form communities, and they establish salaries for their members and unite upon a common goal which is the false claim to return to the Khilafa Rashida (Islamic caliphate). It is a false claim to say that our conflict and difference with Ikhwaan are in certain branches of the religion; rather our difference are in the Aqīdah with the this evil group (Islamic Brotherhood).
They started with this claim that they, (Ikhwanul Muslimeen) are the true Islam; they are nothing but other than that, with hidden goals and agendas! Ikhwanul Muslimeen say in every Muslim country which has a Muslim ruler that we call to 'Return to the Islamic Caliphate'; so you find the youth were affected and excited by this. So Ikhwanul Muslimeen started to say ‘We don't need blind following cultural Muslims! Rather we need excited and active Muslims!’
So they didn't want Muslims to just pray in the Masjid and read the Qur’aan; the Ikhwanul Muslimeen needed the Muslims to partake in demonstrations and other activities, not taqleedee Muslims! The Ikhwan use the ḥadīth of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) to show that they need to have hidden agendas, (and that hadith is) the Prophet (sallallahu alayhu wa sallam) said: ‘Seek assistance and take from what Allaah has blessed you with(wealth) and conceal it from the people; be careful from the envy/jealousy of the people.’ The Ikhwan use this ḥadīth, which is a ḥadīth explaining an affair of the dunya, to hide their agendas in the da’wah’
So you find that countries like Syria accepted this way of the Ikhwan! Look at the heads of the Ikhwanul Muslimeen, like Abdur Rahman Abdul Khaliq; when he first came to Kuwait he said: ‘Kuwait had no connection with Islam and Islam had to connection with Kuwait!’
The likes of these Takfeerees, Abdur rahman, Muhammad Suroor, Zein Al ‘aabideen, and other than them; (they have the) same agenda.
Even Abūl Alaa' Al Mawdoodee in the lands of India speaking in the Urdu language, calling to this evil call! So seeing that we see that our opposition with this evil Jamaa’a, Ikhwanul Muslimeen is in the aqīdah, what does a Sunni do?
The Sunni returns to the likes of our scholars; like Shaykh Rabee’, Shaykh Fawzān, Shaykh ‘Ubayd; and (take) your religion from the likes of these Noble Scholars.
Don't take your religion from other than those Scholars who clarify the truth from falsehood:
or else you will find yourself upon an Ikhwaanee way and you won’t know it!
If you find yourself being pleased with the different Ikhwaani groups on the radio and the TV, and you have no hatred in listening to them, then you are one who has been poisoned by the Ikhwan. For example. if Muhammad Al Areefee is playing, or Nabeel Al Awadhi is playing and you don't mind then you have been poisoned.
If you find Ibn ‘Uthaymīn playing, and you don't like it, and would rather listen to Areefee or Awadhi then you are poisoned.
To some extent you find some of them, they won't listen even to the Qur’aan; the Speech of Allaah!
They would rather listen to Areefee and Nabil.
Shaykh Ibn Uthaymīn said ‘It is not permissible to go and listen to the Khutaba (lecturers) who call to bid’ah and have bid’ah.’ The Religion is not such that you take what you want and leave what you want; you are not at liberty in this affair in this way.
Shaykh Ibn Uthaymīn said ‘If you want to learn knowledge of Arabic poetry and sentence structure, then it is not permissible to study with a person of Bid’ah, because he will inject poison in the honey and it will become a difficulty for the student.
Shaykh ibn ‘Uthaymīn was asked: ‘How about just Arabic grammar?
Shaykh ibn uthaymeen said: ‘Not even in grammar.’
Do you see the guidance of the Scholars of the Sunnah? This is their guidance. So now did Ikhwaan still continue in their earlier call to the Caliphate or have they changed? Look at Tariq Suwaidan and Qardawee: ‘Freedom takes all precedence!’ Gannooshee (a Tunisian Ikhwani):
‘We haven't come to power to establish Sharia! Rather we have come to establish democracy!’
Look at the state of Syria and Hamas! Is the blood of the Muslims something cheap with these Ikhwanees?!
We don't fear Hamas nor Ikhwan; we aren't afraid to warn against Hamas and their deviated ways and spilling of blood of the noble Muslims in Palestine! Do you know that Hamas has been ruling in Palestine for 7 years and Alcohol is still being sold in Gaza? So you find the one who is poisoned by Ikhwan saying ‘It doesn't matter if Hamas allow the sale of alcohol or not! ‘ We don't need politics nor do we need sadaqat from the people; we don't need to ask anything from the people. We call the Sunni to work hard and be upon a strong ‘aqīdah. The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said ‘The upper hand is better than the lower hand.’ The Sunni is a person of the upper hand.
That was the conclusion of the lesson, may Allah reward Shaykh Muhammad al Anjaree for this beautiful lesson.
