assalāmu 'alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh ikhwaan,
BaarakAllaahu feekum. Considering the importance of knowing whom one learns Islamic Knowledge from, I was thinking it would be a good idea if you could please put up a short bio about out brother Mūsá Richardson....I think the bio would be good for at least 2 reasons:
1) Letting the brothers & sisters know whom they are taking knowledge of Allah's deen from
2) It may help others understand that Salafi's don't just take their knowledge from just anyone.
Jazaakumullaahu khayran katheeraa for all your services to the Muslims - may Allah keep us all firm,
Wa 'alaykumus Salaam wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakatuh,
We thank you for your enquiry. Abūl-'Abbās is a post-graduate student from Umm al-Qura University in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. He graduated from the Faculty of Ḥadīth Sciences. His main teachers (outside of his university studies) include the Noble Scholars, Shaykh Rabee' Ibn Hadee al-Madkhalī, Shaykh Wasee'ullaah 'Abbās and the Noble Shaykh, Muhammad Ibn 'Umar Bazmool and his brother, Shaykh Aḥmad Ibn 'Umar Bazmool. He has been active in the field of da'wah online and through courses, lectures and writings over the last decade. Abūl-'Abbās currently resides in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. We ask Allaah to increase him in goodness and make him better, ameen.
We appreciate your question and we understand the importance of knowing whom one is taking knowledge from. We also want to note (from another angle), that you won't find the people of Sunnah promoting themselves (or their credentials) in an elaborate fashion (even the senior scholars), like the people of innovation who are excessive in their elevation of their personalities, so had it not been for the question being raised from the angle of 'knowing whom one takes his religion and its importance' then perhaps we may not have mentioned anything. And Allaah knows best.
