These are some practice questions on al-Mulakhkhas, prepared by Abū Abdirrahmaan Nasser ibn Najam. They were originally prepared for the lessons on Al-Mulakhkhas given by Shaikh Ghudayyaan some years ago, and I hope they will be very beneficial as an additional study aid for Abūl-Abbās' current lessons.
Care has been taken over the translations, and I believe Abū Talhah has also checked the series.
InshaAllaah I will post up the answers in a few days.
May Allaah make them beneficial, and reward the brother immensely for his work.
Here are the answers to the questions posted above.
Although the brother who compiled the questions does not himself post on the TROID forums, he has asked that the following points be borne in mind when using the Q and A:
The Q and A are based closely on the explanation of Shaykh al Fawzān of Kitaab ut Tawḥīd which is the same book our brother Mūsá Richardson is going through on Saturdays. So the reader will find that the Q and A cover the points of benefit brought by the Shaykh, as well as other sections which the Shaykh mentions - such as the relevance of the aayah/ḥadīth being discussed to the chapter of the book.
The points of benefit in the Q and A are verbatim translations of the same section in the Shaykh's explanation, although the other sections of the Q and A are summarised translations of what the Shaykh mentioned. In this way, the Q and A will inshaa Allaah help those who have access to the original Arabic version of Shaykh al Fawzān's explanation to increase the benefit they take from the Shaykh's work.
Some care has been taken with the translations of the texts of the Book and the Sunnah used in the Q and A, by using the explanations of Shaykh al Fawzān, al Uthaymīn and aale Shaykh to decide on the most accurate translation of the wordings into the English language.
Nevertheless, the brother would be very grateful if the readers of the Q and A would let him know of any mistakes or suggestions they see in the Q and A - so that he can make the corrections on TROID forums. Such suggestions can be forwarded to me, and I will arrange for them to be forwarded to him inshaa Allaah.
TROID users should be made aware that the translation of Shaykh al Fawzān's book which has been done by al Maiman Publishers is not a very accurate one - and a posting will be put up on TROID forums soon inshaa Allaah with some examples to demonstrate this. The translation of theirs is certainly not verbatim in many parts of the book, misses out whole phrases in many cases and uses odd, rather old fashioned English in many parts which lends itself to misunderstanding.
