Class #17 Follow-up: Du'aa' 3x at night was created by moosaa.richardson
May Allaah bless Umm Ibraheem who sent me the following:

Reported by al-Tirmidhī (no. 3604/1) from Abū Hurairah -radiyallaahu `anhu- from the Prophet (ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam) that he said: << Whoever says three times when he enters the evening: “I seek refuge with the perfect and complete Words of Allaah from the evil of whatever He
has created.” will not be harmed by poisonous stings that night.>>

I was asked about saying this du'aa' 3x at night as a usual practice as a resident, and did not know any basis for this specification. This ḥadīth is authentic (judged hasan by at-Tirmithee, and authenticated by al-Albānī) and is clear grounds for the exact practice in question.

Al-Hamdulillaah - I thank Allaah for all the benefit I have received from teaching a course and learning a lot of good things from those involved. May Allaah bless us and increase us in His Bounties!
