On Saturday 2018.06.30, the Salafī community in Toronto had the pleasure of conducting their first lecture link with Shaykh Muḥammad Ghālib al-ʿUmarī (Dubai, UAE). The lecture, translated by Ustādh Abū Idrīs (Birmingham, England), laid out a roadmap for the potential student of knowledge; the traits that exemplify the upright moral character that is requisite of such a noble pursuit.
In a time where the speakers have become many and the knowledgeable few, our noble brother Abū Khadījah gives an extremely important reminder regarding the importance of preserving one’s tongue from attacking the honour of his brother, and the honour of the scholars and the people of knowledge.
We have witnessed on many accounts, people who put themselves to trial and put the people through trials because they thought they were fit for daʿwah. Our noble and trusted Shaykh, Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān—may Allāh preserve him—offers valuable advice with regards to this matter.
