An inspiring reminder of the importance of acting upon knowledge. Stated the noble Imām of Ahl al-Sunnah wa-al-Jamāʿah, Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah, “I have met many mashāyikh and the affair of one was different from the other, and their knowledge capacities were of varying levels. And the one whose company I benefited from the most was the one who used to apply what he knew, even though there were those who were more knowledgeable than him."
Add a commentSeeking knowledge is a lengthy path that is not possible to embark upon except by abandoning play and amusement and approaching it in a serious manner. This is because Allāh the Exalted, the Most High, described what He revealed to Muḥammad (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and He (Allāh) is the most truthful in speech, as a weighty word. Allāh the Exalted, the Most High says, “Soon shall We send down to thee a weighty word.” [Sūrah al-Muzzammil, 73:5]

A collection of the aḥādīth contained within various chapters of Imām Muslim’s Book of Knowledge with a short commentary by Imām Muḥammad Nāṣir al-Dīn al-Albānī.
Add a commentWhen the aḥādīth about loving the Messenger of Allāh is looked at in a shallow way, it seems to imply that merely loving the Messenger will enter one into Paradise. This is not so, as there are actions attached to that love.
