Upon entering Islām, it is fundamental for one to become grounded in the founding principles of the Religion, in order to be free from innovation and misguidance.

The Prophet of Islām, Muḥammad (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said: “There are three things, whoever attains them will find the sweetness of faith: when Allāh and His Messenger are more beloved to him than everything else; when he loves another person, he loves him only for the sake of Allāh; and when he hates to return to disbelief [kufr] as he would hate to be thrown into the Fire” [Reported by al-Bukhārī (no. 15)].

Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Suḥaymī says: "And indeed Allāh the, Blessed and the Exalted, created the Jinn and the Mankind with great Wisdom. Is it not for the purpose of worshipping Him, the Perfect and Exalted, and nothing else besides him? It is as Allāh, the Blessed and the Exalted, has said, 'And I did not create the Jinn and mankind, except to worship Me' [Sūrah al Dhāriyāt: 56] And the meaning of 'to worship Me' is 'to single Me out in worship'" [Mudhkiratun fil 'Aqeedah (p. 8)].

Those Who Do Not Worship Allāh Have Opposed Their Purpose
