Shaded by Allāh’s Shade
As we approach summer, the temperature rises and the heat becomes increasingly unbearable day-by-day. Then reflect, O brothers and sisters, on the day on which the sun will be brought close. On this day, there will be no shade except for those provided with Allāh’s Shade. Our Messenger, may Allāh raise his rank and grant him peace, has indeed described this successful group in a narration found in the Ṣaḥīḥayn on the authority of Abū Hurayrah, may Allāh be pleased with him. In a past khuṭbah, from many summers ago, our brother, Abū ʿUways, may Allāh have mercy on him, presents these descr…

Importance of Knowing the Meaning of: Muḥammad Is the Messenger of Allāh
If we understand the meaning of Muḥammad is the Messenger of Allāh, we will be met with happiness, pleasure and enjoyment. By understanding its meaning, we would have the mercy of Allāh and we would never taste defeat or misery in our lives.
We find ourselves in trouble because we turned away from the command of our Prophet (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-ṣallam).
Believing in the Prophet (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-ṣallam) means:
you obey him in that which he commanded
you affirm that which he affirmed in matters of the unseen
you stay away from that which he forbade you from
you do no…

Dividing the Night Prayer during Ramaḍān
Questioner: That which takes places now O Shaykh—during the last ten nights of Ramaḍān—is that they (the people) divide the (night) prayer1 into the first part of the night [praying a portion of it] and the last part of the night [praying another portion at the end of the night], and this has become a common practice for them.
Imām al-Albānī: This is an innovation.
Questioner: We want to establish the Sunnah and make it easy for the people, so how should we do this?
Imām al-Albānī: You should pray earlier, ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭab said, “those who delay it (the night prayer) are better…

Fear of Shirk
Our noble brother, in this short reminder, makes reference to the famous and important work of Shaykh al-Islām Muḥammad ibn ͑Abd al-Wahhāb (raḥimahullāh), ‘Kitāb al-Tawḥīd’, drawing upon evidence from the Qur ͗ān and Sunnah.
Allāh (subḥānahu wa ta ͑ āla) informs us in His Noble Book,
“Verily, Allāh forgives not that partners should be set up with Him (in worship), but He forgives except that (anything else) to whom He wills;…

Lies Attributed to The Prophet ʿĪsá (Jesus)
Our noble brother Abū ʿUways (rahīmaḥullāh) details the many slanderous lies Christians to portray against ‘Isá (ʿalayhi al-salām) and His Lord, Allāh subḥānahū wa taʿāla. This is an especially important talk for those of us living in Western countries, dominated by the Christian belief. It should not be the case that we are not fazed by such absurdities, rather upon us is to be callers to Allāh’s dīn, and to refute these heinous claims against Him,ʿaza wa jal, and His messengers.
And they say: “The Most Beneficent (Allāh) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: ʿUzay…

The first matter is with regard to Tawḥīd, its importance, and that Allāh did not send a P…
