An Overview of the Rights of the Wife
An overview of some of the āyāt in the Qurʾān.
And live with them honourably. If you dislike them, it may be that you dislike a thing
and Allāh brings through it a great deal of good.
[Sūrah al-Nisāʾ, 4:19]
From the rights of the wife:
- The mahr (dowry)
- The husband must spend on her according to his means

- The husband must be just and fair in dealing with his wives
[Q1]: What is your advice regarding a man who beats his wife (did the Prophet [ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam] hit his wives?)?
[Q2]: What is obligatory for the husband to spend upon his wife, what about the mobile phone?
[Q3]: If a wife is not obedient upon his wife, may he (the husband) stop spending on her?
[Q4]: How does a husband deal with a jealous wife?
[Q5]: What should a man do if his wife has issues with another woman and he asks her to end that dispute and rectify that relationship and she refuses, is she disobeying him (what should he do)?
